Bank Guarantee Tracking Software for Indian EPC
T-30 / T-14 / T-7 expiry alerts on WhatsApp. Collateral planning. Multi-bank consolidation. The BG calendar that prevents the next ₹50 lakh penalty before it happens.

The most expensive email your team never opened
Last quarter, somewhere in your business, a Commercial Manager missed a T-15 BG renewal email. Maybe it went to spam. Maybe she was on leave. Maybe the bank's email landed in a teammate's mailbox who didn't know what it was. The penalty was ₹38 lakh — recoverable from cash flow, not from anyone's KPI. Email-based BG tracking is one human leave-day away from being a ₹50 lakh problem. Every Indian EPC SME we've spoken to has at least one of these stories.
How it actually works
Five mechanics, each anchored to a specific Indian EPC failure pattern.
T-30 / T-14 / T-7 WhatsApp alerts
Three escalation tiers, all on WhatsApp (not email — see below). Each alert pings the Commercial Manager AND the Director-Projects. Two-person redundancy on the most expensive workflow in your business.
Why WhatsApp beats email here
Email open rates among Indian SME commercial teams sit around 22-30%. WhatsApp open rates are 90%+ within 4 hours. For a workflow with a ₹50 lakh tail, the channel that gets opened wins.
Multi-bank BG consolidation
BGs across HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, and any cooperative bank are consolidated in one calendar. No more spreadsheet-per-bank that nobody updates after Diwali.
Collateral planning view
BG collateral (FDs, counter-guarantees) by bank, by tenor, by project. When the CFO needs to know 'how much collateral is freeing up next quarter,' the answer is one click.
BG type segmentation
Performance, retention, advance, mobilisation, FSSAI compliance — five common BG types, each with its own renewal logic. Performance BGs don't auto-extend; retention BGs do. KaptIQ knows the difference.
Email tracking vs Excel sheet vs KaptIQ — same risk, three exposures
| Capability | Bank email tracking | Excel BG sheet | KaptIQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Renewal alerts | 1 email at T-15 (ignorable) | Manual review every Monday — sometimes | WhatsApp T-30, T-14, T-7 to 2 people |
| Multi-bank consolidation | Inbox per bank, no overview | One sheet per bank, drifts | Single calendar, all banks, all projects |
| Collateral planning | Not tracked | Annual exercise during audit | Live view, by bank, by quarter |
| BG type logic | Same alert for all types | Tagged manually, often wrong | Performance / retention / advance / mobilisation handled separately |
| Two-person redundancy | One inbox, one risk | One spreadsheet owner, one risk | Both Commercial + Director get alerts |
How this looks per vertical
The same capability adapts to each vertical's billing structure.
Common questions
Does this work without integrating to my bank?
Yes. BGs are entered manually (or CSV imported) from your existing bank statements. There is no live banking integration — and there shouldn't be; BG metadata changes more often than the BG itself.
Can we add custom BG types?
Yes. Beyond the 5 standard types, you can define your own (e.g., 'Mobilisation Phase-2', 'Custom Bond') with their own renewal cadence.
What about performance BG vs retention BG handling?
Different by design. Performance BGs are tied to project completion + DLP. Retention BGs are tied to retention release schedules. Each has its own alert calendar.
Will WhatsApp alerts work for my number?
Yes — any India mobile number that has WhatsApp installed. The system uses Meta Cloud API / Twilio / Interakt depending on volume; configurable per company.
Can the CFO see all BGs across group companies?
Yes — multi-company consolidation surfaces group-level BG calendar (Growth/Enterprise tier feature). Each entity sees only their own BGs by default; group view is role-gated.
Does KaptIQ handle counter-guarantees?
Yes. Each BG can carry a counter-guarantee reference. The collateral planning view aggregates both sides.
Are BG documents stored in the system?
Reference + key metadata yes. Full PDF documents currently stored as external links to your existing DMS or Google Drive — we don't replicate document storage.
Can I run a single ₹40 Cr project on Starter tier?
Basic BG alerts (one BG type, email-only) ship on Starter (free). Full WhatsApp + multi-type + collateral planning is Growth tier (₹4,999/mo Founding 25, ₹9,999/mo standard).
